Let's Celebrate 2019

Together we accomplished a lot this year and so it’s time to celebrate the great things that happened in 2019.

First of all, we choose to name our team ‘Bolting Antalya’ and started to give shape to this volunteering group. Secondly, we renovated 115 anchors and rebolted 15 routes with brand new gear. Some rebolting was done in an organised rebolting weekend with big dinner parties, other routes were rebolted by individual bolters. Furthermore, Öztürk Kayıkcı ran a bolting course with four local climbers. And last but not least, we also have new team members who handle the: bolting gear, rebolting-database, e-mail-box, dinner parties, report-a-route-form, our website and the social media channel.

In total we are a team of 35 local climbers who contribute to reach our overall goal: sustainable high-quality route development in Antalya.

It’s been a big year for us. For next year more rebolting weekends and clean-up days are planned, more bolting gear will be collected and the Bolting Antalya Bolt-Box will be opened. All contributions from happy climbers are welcome!
